Corn Dogs and a little more fun in WATER!

Nothing like a good ole corn dog and french fries for lunch!  Then Daddy had a grand idea...... and surprisingly dangerous..... he is usually the careful and cautious parent!

Thomas said, "Now that was FUN!"

Lyla Claire loves to swing! She will swing for hours and hours!  She says, "Swing me mommy. faster and faster and higher and higher. forever and ever!"  It is priceless!

Summertime and WATER!

Last weekend it was very hot, so we decided to get out one of Thomas' birthday presents from Granny and Big Daddy. ... the Bonzai Wild Waves Basketball pool and slide. The kids loved it! It kept them entertained all morning and afternoon.  Water this summer is going to be a must!  I am thinking about buying my own little pool, aka horse trough, to loathe in!

 Thumbs Up!  This is fun!

T Ball Game

Daddy showing Thomas just how to hold the bat ever so perfectly.
 "Like that Daddy?"

 He swings.....

and makes contact! GO THOMAS!

Getting some advice from Coach in the outfield.

Tupelo Parks and Rec asked Kenny to coach Thomas' t-ball team this year... and he is!  It has been a lot of fun.  At first, Thomas was much more excited about running the bases and picking grass than he was about learning how to play t- ball.  Thank goodness, Thomas' best friend, Griffin, is on the team... when Griffin shows up, we are all ok and Thomas plays hard.  It is so cute to watch the kids bat and play outfield especially. Each game gets better and more, and more organized. Maybe by the last game, each kid will truly know and understand what they are doing. Until then.... we will keep enjoying the games and laughing along the way.

Camping out in the backyard!

A few weeks ago, Kenny and Thomas decided they wanted to camp out in the backyard.  Sounded good to me... as long as I was not expected to sleep outside in a tent! :) Mommy's idea of camping out is staying at the nearest Hampton Inn and Suites.... Not a huge fan of outside noises, mossquitos.. well, bugs of any kind... and not taking a hot, bubble bath.  Thomas and Daddy built a big fire, roasted marshmallows, and actually slept in the tent until 1 a.m.  Thomas was snooozing away, but DADDY got cold... so they came in around 1 a.m.  Thomas absolutely loved it!  Lyla Claire and I joined them for some family fun... but when the sun went down, so did we... INSIDE, in our own, comfy beds!
Sitting on top of the storm cellar eating Doritos and admiring the campfire he and Daddy built.

He loved playing in the tent with his "construction" stuff.  Future owner of Barrows Construction, I do believe.

You know our little Diva had to get in the tent to join in the fun!

Preschool Party @ FairPark Fountain

Thomas' preschool class walked to Fairpark on Tuesday, May 10th to play in the fountain, have a picnic, and play on the playground.  Thomas has thoroughly enjoyed Ms Paula and Ms Tracie this year.  He begs to go to preschool everyday... which makes me a little sad... I guess Lyla Claire and I are not as entertaining and fun! :)  Lyla Claire and I met his class at Fairpark around 10 am and joined in the fun.  Lyla Claire thought she was one of the gang, and Thomas was very thoughtful sharing his lunch with her and asking her to play in the fountain with him.  I can't believe Thomas will be in the 4 year old preschool room in September.  Milestones are definitely exciting, but I wish there was a 'pause' button on life sometimes.

Lyla Claire came dressed in her regular clothes. I did not think she would get in the fountain..... BUT....
I knew there was a reason I bought the "Have A New Kid by Friday" book..... strong-willed, stubborn..... "it is going to be LC's way"....
This is how we ended up! Thank goodness no one cared! The preschool kids were too busy having fun!

Birthdays!

Thomas 4th Birthday Cake
We celebrated Thomas' real birthday at Pizza Hut for supper... his choice. Then we all went back to our house for cake and presents!  I can't believe my first baby boy turned 4 on March 30th... time goes by way too fast!
Happy Birthday Thomas, We love you very, very much!

Water Slide from Granny and Big Daddy

First pair of skates!  (Thanks Aimee and kiddos!)

I decided to have the kids' birthday parties together this year, since their birthdays are just 2 weeks apart.
Thomas wanted the Toy Story theme, and Lyla Claire had a Minnie Mouse theme.
The party was at Harrisburg's Gym with several inflatables.  The kids had a lot of fun!

So funny how they both got so teased when we sang "Happy Birthday"!
 Love those little angels! :)

This may be the future Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Goralczyk!

Lyla Claire wanted Donald's aka McDonald's for supper on her birthday... so the princess' request was granted.  We ate supper at McDonald's and then celebrated with a Minnie Mouse cake and presents!
Happy 2nd Birthday Lyla Claire! We love you very, very much!

Focusing intently on their birthday cake!

We look forward to celebrating many more birthdays to come with each of you.
